180 double-vote cases being investigated from Nevada general election

(Mark Robison | Reno Gazette Journal) – State investigators are pursuing 180 cases of Nevadans trying to vote twice in November’s election.

The number comes from the Secretary of State’s latest quarterly report on election violation reports and investigations, released Friday.

The report also shows 762 Election Integrity Violation Reports were filed where someone thinks Nevada election law has been violated. Of those, 243 cases remain open, 515 were closed with no charges and four were closed with a violation indicated.

Between double voting and election violation reports, 11 cases have been referred for possible prosecution this year: two from the Presidential Preference Primary in February and nine from June’s general primary.
